April, the sun is out and smiles are everywhere
I study my friends' bright young faces.
Young and filled with passion.
We hold colored boxes
and bags of gifts in our hands.
Some in dress and some in jeans with shirts
we stand outside of Outback Steakhouse.
There's a girl in the middle with a beautiful smile
a smile that brightens up the whole world.
She has never been any happier before.
On her hand, she has a cone shaped hat
that says, "You're 18!".
On her hands, she holds a cake
made from the hands of her friends and written
"Happy 18th Birthday!"
